Help Paying Your Bill

Help Paying Your Bill

Mountain Communities Healthcare District’s (MCHD) mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality, affordable healthcare services

and to advocate for those who are unable to pay for medically necessary services. As such, we continually strive to ensure that the

financial capacity of people who need healthcare services does not prevent them from seeking and receiving medically necessary care.

If you don't have health insurance or if you have high-cost medical bills, our financial counseling staff is here to help you determine

eligibility for charity care, discount programs, payment plans, and government programs such as Medi-Cal, or Covered California. We

can request a determination for Medi-Cal on the same day as your visit. If you have a pending application for a health coverage

program, this will not preclude you from being eligible for MCHD’s Financial Assistance program.
