About Us

Mountain Communities Healthcare District (MCHD) is located in rural Trinity County. The district includes a Critical Access Hospital, a Skilled Nursing Facility, an Emergency Room, and two rural health clinics. MCHD provides a variety of services including: emergency services, acute inpatient care, swing bed care, laboratory, radiology, physical and respiratory therapy, preventive and routine care. Trinity Hospital is located on 299 West between Redding and Eureka. It is nestled in the basin just below the beautiful Trinity Alps. Trinity County is known for its endless opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, white water rafting, fishing, kayaking, gold panning, mountain biking, motor vehicle touring, camping, horseback riding, etc. Trinity County is the place to come if you enjoy finding yourself on a new exciting adventure every day.

The Mission of Mountain Communities Healthcare District is to ensure availability of and access to emergency medical, primary, and preventive healthcare. The District will deliver this healthcare in a high quality manner with attention to patient safety in a cost-effective and fiscally responsible manner to the people in the communities we serve.
