We are saddened to announce the death of long time board member Carol Bethke.
Mrs. Bethke served as Director of Nurses at Trinity Hospital for two years, during which time the hospital received full accreditation. Once the accreditation was approved Carol followed her passion of psychiatric nursing at Trinity County Mental Health Department.
She, along with others helped form Mountain Communities Healthcare District in 2006, and was an elected member on the board since its inception.
Not only is her work on the board going to be missed, so is her humor, her wonderful smile, and her caring words. It has been an honor working with her and there is a great void to be filled by Carol’s passing.

Mountain Communities Healthcare District is located in Trinity County in Northern California amidst the majestic peaks of the Trinity Alps and sparkling streams, rivers and lakes.

The district hospital located in Weaverville, CA has 25 acute care beds, 26 skilled nursing beds, a 24 hour emergency room and operating room that provides many services including general surgical procedures, endoscopies, colonoscopies, laboratory, diagnostic imaging, CT, and ultrasound, mobile mammography, physical therapy, telemedicine and home health.  The district also has two full service rural health designated walk-in clinics (located in Weaverville, CA and Hayfork, CA) and a dental clinic (located in Weaverville, CA).
